Nigel Malone

School: Kansas State
Position: CB
Bio: Junior college transfer awarded all-America honors the past two years. Senior totals included 51 tackles/5 interceptions/9 pass breakups after 58/7/10 as a junior.
Positive: Opportunistic cornerback with an underrated game. Aware, instinctive, and quickly breaks to the throw. Displays timing on pass defenses, shows the ability to follow receivers out of routes, and rarely challenged by opposing quarterbacks. Quick to defend the run and physical in his all-around game.
Negative: Does not time well in the 40.
Analysis: Malone was a productive college cornerback and showed consistent improvement on the field the past two seasons. He lacks the desired speed for the next level, yet will be very effective in certain zone packages or backed off the line scrimmage.
