Sherman Carter

School: Tennessee State
Position: C
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors the past two seasons.
Positive: Dependable and durable college center with some upside. Quickly sets up off the snap, stays square, and seals defenders from the action. Works his blocks hard, jolts opponents at the point of attack, and keeps his hands active throughout the play. Strong enough to turn opponents from the line. Moves relatively well on his feet, pulls across the line scrimmage well, and effective blocking on the second level. Flashes the ability to redirect to linebackers and hit a moving target.
Negative: Must improve his blocking balance. Does not finish blocks. Overextends or lunges into defenders.
Analysis: Carter possesses the skills and body type to play the next level and is a prospect who could eventually start for an NFL team. He needs to complete his game and start doing the little things well, but is one of the more underrated centers in this year's draft.
