Joe Madsen

School: West Virginia
Position: C
Bio: Four-year starter awarded all-Conference honors the past two seasons.
Positive: Tough, durable lineman with an underrated game. Bends his knees and blocks with leverage. Quickly gets into blocks, explosive at the point and turns opponents from the line. Works his hands throughout the action, keeps his feet moving, and plays with both vision and instincts. Fires out to the second level, squares into linebackers, and then seals them from the action.
Negative: Must improve the consistency of his shotgun snaps. Rumbles around the field blocking in motion. Does not properly placing his hands into defenders.
Analysis: Madsen was a lineman who flew under the radar then stepped up his game as a senior and now grades as draftable prospect. He lacks great upside but does the little things well and offers ability at any of the three interior blocking positions on the offensive line.
