Travis Simpson

School: Arizona State
Position: WR
Bio: Former part-time starter who missed the 2011 season with a knee injury. Junior totals of 2010 included 29 receptions for 481 yards.
Positive: Adequately sized receiver who flashed skills in 2010. Comes back to the ball exiting breaks, finds the soft spot in the defense. Quickly releases off the line and immediately gets to top speed.
Negative: Lacks the deep speed and burst necessary to beat defenders downfield. Consistently lets the ball get inside his frame rather than cleanly catching it with his hands.
Analysis: Simpson was rated as a potential late-round choice coming into the season but sat on the sidelines with a knee injury. He's a marginal prospect with minimal upside and must do well on special teams to have any chance of making a roster.
