Nate Palmer

School: Northern Illinois
Position: WR
Bio: Consistent starter the past two seasons. Posted career-best numbers of 47 receptions/695 yards/7 TDs as a senior after 29/532/6 the prior year.
Positive: Dependable receiver with a developing game. Quickly releases off the line, immediately gets to top speed and shows a burst. Remains focused, makes the difficult reception with defenders draped on him and shows skill running after the catch. Displays strong hands with the ability to pluck the fastball from the air. Effectively uses the sidelines and plays with terrific body control. Gives effort blocking downfield. Possesses a sense of timing and consistently extends to make the reception away from his frame.
Negative: Moderately productive in college. Lacks deep speed and a second gear.
Analysis: Palmer watched his game take off last season, and as a result his draft stock is on the rise. He offers possibilities as a fifth receiver for an NFL roster.
