Lance Lewis

School: East Carolina
Position: WR
Bio: Junior college transfer awarded all-conference honors the past two seasons. Totaled 60 receptions/600 tackles/8 TDs as a senior after missing four games with knee and foot injuries. Also averaged 15.6 yards on nine punt returns last season. Junior numbers included 89/1116/14.
Positive: Athletic receiver prospect still developing his game. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, uses his frame to shield away defenders and extends his hands to offer the quarterback a target. Displays solid eye/hand coordination, nicely makes the reception in stride and adjusts to grab errant passes.
Negative: Not a sturdy receiver who makes difficult catches in a crowd. Plays slower than his 40 time and does not show a great burst.
Analysis: Lewis quickly impacted the East Carolina program upon arrival in 2010 and was off to a solid senior season before being shelved late in the year with injuries. He possesses all the skills necessary to be a productive fourth receiver at the next level, but he must get accustomed to playing in an NFL offense and continue to improve his game.
