Keith Nichol

School: Michigan State
Position: WR
Bio: Oklahoma transfer that has rotated in and out of the starting lineup the past two years. Senior totals included 26 receptions/352 yards/3 TDs after he had 22/262/1 as a junior.
Positive: Tough, stout receiver who consistently makes the difficult reception. Works hard off the snap, fights to get separation from defenders and finds the soft spot in the defense. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw and makes the reception in stride. Takes a pounding yet holds onto the ball. Gives effort blocking downfield.
Negative: Displays minimal quickness in his game. Lacks a burst and is not a downfield threat. Marginally productive in college.
Analysis: Nichol is a well-sized receiver who battles to make the reception in underneath coverage. He has athletic limitations yet the ability to make the tough catch on third-down or help out as a downfield blocker makes him worth considering as a fifth receiver for a roster.
