Comes back to the ball out of breaks and consistently finds the open space in the defense. Plays with terrific balance and body control and possesses outstanding eye/hand coordination. Goes up in a crowd or double coverage to come away with the ball. Takes the big hit yet holds onto the throw. Uses his frame to protect the ball. Fights hard to make catches and effectively uses his hands to get separation from opponents. Displays both soft and strong hands with the ability to pull the fastball from the air.
