Jared Karstetter

School: Washington State
Position: WR
Bio: Three-year starter who led Washington State in receiving as a sophomore and junior. Senior totals included 60 receptions/700 yards/6 TDs after 62/658/7 as a junior.
Positive: Well-sized possession receiver who is best in underneath coverage. Effectively uses his hands to get off jams, consistently finds the open space in the defense or comes back to the ball out of breaks. Nicely adjusts and extends to make the reception away from his frame. Consistent hand catcher. Battles hard to make the reception. Gives effort blocking.
Negative: One-speed receiver who gets minimal separation off the line of scrimmage or down the field. Minimal quickness in his game.
Analysis: Karstetter is a tough receiver who uses his size as an advantage to come away with the difficult reception. The inability to separate from defenders limits him at the next level, though he offers possibilities as a fifth receiver in a West Coast offense.
