Darius Hanks

School: Alabama
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter who also saw significant action with the first team as a sophomore. Senior totals included 21 receptions/270 yards/1 touchdown in nine games. Suspended by the NCAA for infractions in the first two games of 2012.
Positive: Adequately sized underneath receiver with reliable hands. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, works routes and effectively uses his frame to protect the pass. Adjusts to make difficult catches. Adjusts to the errant throw and looks the ball into his hands. Works hard to separate from defenders and does a nice job coming free to make himself an available target.
Negative: Unnecessarily lets the pass get inside him and too often body-catches the pass, which results in drops. One-speed receiver with a minimal burst.
Analysis: Hanks was reliable at Alabama, but not overly productive at any time in his career. He lacks great physical skills for the next level, but is accomplished enough catching the ball that he'll offer options as a fifth receiver.
