Brandon Collins

School: Southeastern Louisiana
Position: WR
Bio: Texas transfer who started the past two seasons. Senior receiving totals included 61 receptions/746 yards/5 TDs when he also averaged 11 yards on 21 punt returns. Junior numbers included 56/875/4 catching the ball.
Positive: Small, slippery pass catcher who projects as a return specialist in the NFL. Quickly releases off the line into pass routes, displays sharpness into breaks and stays low on exit. Immediately gets to top speed, possesses a burst and easily makes the downfield reception in stride, adjusting to the throw. Elusive handling the ball in the open field. Solid return specialist who sets up his returns and follows blocks everywhere.
Negative: Small, has a slight build and easily brought down at the point of attack. Lacks true home run hitting speed.
Analysis: Collins offers potential as a slot receiver in the NFL yet must produce returning punts this summer to have any chance of making a roster.
