B.J. Hayes

School: Liberty
Position: WR
Bio: Used in the starting lineup the past two seasons and awarded all-conference honors as a junior. Senior totals included 28 receptions/306 yards/1 TDs after he had 56/546/1 the prior year.
Positive: Quick, elusive receiver who displays skill running after the catch. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, runs good routes and comes back to the clearing to make himself an available target. Catches the ball away from his frame, quickly transitions from making the reception to running after the catch and keeps the play in bounds trying to pick up positive yardage. Runs well laterally and nicely adjusts to the errant throw.
Negative: Not a tall receiver and gets overmatched against defensive backs. Lacks a second gear.
Analysis: Hayes displayed next level skills a junior yet struggled throughout his senior season and removed himself from draft consideration. He offers potential as a slot receiver in a West Coast or timing offense based on his ability to pick up yardage after the catch.
