Drake Dunsmore

School: Northwestern
Position: TE
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors as a senior with totals of 45 receptions/522 yards/6 TDs. Junior numbers included 40/381/5. Sophomore totals included 47/523/3.
Positive: Undersized pass-catching tight end who does the little things well. Solid athlete who sells routes, works to get separation and comes free for the quarterback. Uses his frame to shield away defenders, offers the quarterback a target and is a reliable underneath pass catcher. Fluid releasing off the line into pass routes, immediately gets a top speed and easily adjusts to make the reception in stride. Possesses reliable hands. Keeps his head on a swivel blocking, works to stay square and effectively picks up oncoming blitzers.
Negative: Marginal burst in his game and is not a downfield threat. Minimal strength as a blocker.
Analysis: Dunsmore is a tough football player who gets the most from his ability and pays attention to detail. He projects as a move tight end/H-back at the next level and is a prospect who should also stand out on special teams.
