Bio: Former TCU running back who transferred to UTEP and started his two seasons with the program. Senior totals included 127 attempts/832 yards/6 TDs rushing. Junior numbers included 109/623/8 on the ground with 17/107 as a receiver.
Positive: Shifty ballcarrier who is best on the inside. Runs low to the ground, plays with good balance and keeps his feet moving up the field. Shows some wiggle in his running with the ability to sidestep defenders. Effectively follows blocks. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Possesses just an average burst through the hole. Must pick up his blocking intensity.
Analysis: Banyard was a solid college back who projects as a change-of-pace skill player but must improve his game and increase his production as a receiver out of the backfield.
