Jason Ford

School: Illinois
Position: RB
Bio: Part-time player the past two years. Senior rushing totals included 155 attempts/600 yards/7 TDs with 19 catches. Junior rushing numbers included 99/480/7.
Positive: Well-sized interior ballcarrier who E(TM)s shown flashes of skill the past four years. Runs behind his pads, keeps his feet moving and does a terrific job using blocks. Aggressively puts his shoulders into defenders and falls forward when tackled. Patient and consistently runs North/South.
Negative: Not a natural receiver. Loses momentum when he must change direction and is not a quick cutback runner. Possesses a marginal burst of speed.
Analysis: Ford looks the part but was never the featured runner at Illinois or hasn E(TM)t met the expectations of NFL scouts. He possesses the skills to be a big-bodied rotational back in the NFL if he takes his game to the next level.
