Duane Bennett

School: Minnesota
Position: RB
Bio: Posted career numbers of 166 attempts/639 yards/3 TDs as a senior when he started 12 games. Junior totals included 123/529/3 when he started seven games. Also added 33 receptions/319 yards/1 TD in 2010.
Positive: Hard-running ballcarrier with average size/speed numbers for the next level. Finds the running lanes, quickly gets through the hole and does not shy away from contact. Runs hard, keeping his feet moving and trying to pick up as much yardage as possible. Effectively uses his blocks, runs with good lean and displays good all-around quickness.
Negative: Possesses no outstanding feature in his ball carrying. Not a creative runner who can make something out of nothing. Lacks the speed to turn the corner. Doesn E(TM)t break tackles and pick up much yardage after initial contact.
Analysis: Bennett has been a serviceable player at Minnesota and could be used as a rotational back at the next level if he produces as a receiver out of the backfield.
