Darrell Scott

School: South Florida
Position: RB
Bio: Colorado transfer awarded all-conference honors last season with rushing totals of 153 attempts/814 yards/5 TDs. Saw marginal playing time at Colorado.
Positive: Powerful interior ballcarrier whose game is on the upswing. Patient, waits for blocks to develop and displays solid quickness for a big man. Possesses terrific leg drive, keeps his feet moving on contact and moves the pile. Bounces off defenders keeping plays alive, runs with an aggressive style driving his shoulders into defenders and grinds it out on the inside. Effective blocker when he puts his mind to it.
Negative: Neither nifty nor nimble and doesn E(TM)t create yardage. Lacks the speed and agility to turn the corner. Rarely used as a pass catcher.
Analysis: Scott is a hard-running interior ballcarrier with potential as a short-yardage back in the NFL. He must improve the details of his game and pick up the intensity blocking, but he has the tools to make a roster as a fourth running back.
