Cordarro Law

School: Southern Mississippi
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors the past two seasons. Senior totals included 64 tackles/22 tackles for loss/9.5 sacks and four pass breakups. Posted 47/11.5/6 as a junior.
Positive: Terrific college pass rusher with marginal size/speed numbers for the next level. Plays with leverage, rarely off his feet and quickly changes direction to chase the action from all angles. Plays smart football, gives effort and makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. Keeps his feet moving on contact, gets a lot of force going up the field and displays a variety of moves getting off blocks. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself, takes good angles to the action and shows skill pursuing down the line to chase the play.
Negative: Rarely used off the line of scrimmage or asked to drop into space. Average closing burst. Lacks top quickness off the snap. Easily disrupted from the action by blocks.
Analysis: Law is an intense competitor who consistently found ways to make plays on the college level, constantly disrupting the action behind the line of scrimmage. He's a natural pass rusher, but he lacks the size/speed numbers for any starting position at the next level. Law could easily find a spot on an NFL team as a situational pass rusher who comes out of a three-point stance or stands up over tackle.
