Elliott Henigan

School: Alabama-Birmingham
Position: DT
Bio: Three-year starter at defensive tackle who finish with 37 tackles and three tackles for loss as a senior after posting junior totals of 55 tackles/15.5 tackles for loss/2.5 sacks, one interception and five pass breakups.
Positive: Nice-sized defensive lineman with a versatile game. Quick off the snap, plays with good pad level and fights hard to get off blocks. Keeps his feet moving on contact, shows a burst to the action and strength in his lower body. Gives effort until the whistle blows.
Negative: Coming off a disappointing senior season. Easily sealed from the action or washed out of the play by a single opponent. Ineffective pursuing the action laterally.
Analysis: Henigan passes the eyeball test and played well through his junior season. Slightly out of position at nose tackle, he offers promise on the inside of a conventional four-man line or as a two-gap end. Hennigan needs to elevate his play, but he's a solid developmental prospect worth keeping on a practice squad.
