Greg Scruggs

School: Louisville
Position: DE
Bio: Part-time starter the past two seasons. Senior totals included 19 tackles/6 tackles for loss/4 sacks after 14/5.5/2 the prior year.
Positive: Fluid, smooth defensive lineman with excellent movement skills. Plays with a good degree of quickness, keeps his pads low to the ground and easily changes direction. Keeps his feet moving up the field, displays the ability to get outside the box and makes plays laterally.
Negative: Lacks bulk and strength on the inside. Does not always play with a sense of urgency. Marginal speed off the edge as a pass rusher.
Analysis: Scruggs is a relatively athletic prospect with adequate size and growth potential. He displayed flashes the past three years yet has never put together a complete game. He offers a good amount of upside and can be a rotational lineman for a variety of defensive schemes if he elevates his game this summer.
