Cris Hill

School: Virginia Tech
Position: CB
Bio: Started five games as a senior and posted career-best numbers of 34 tackles/1 interceptions/7 pass breakups. Primarily a backup his first three years in the program, spending most of his time on special teams.
Positive: Athletic cornerback prospect who displayed a lot of skill as a senior. Runs well laterally with receivers, stays step for step with opponents downfield and effectively positions himself to defend the throw. Displays good awareness, effectively reads receivers' eyes and gets his head back around to locate the pass in the air. Displays a nice move to the ball and does not back down.
Negative: Prefers to side shuffle down the field rather than backpedal. Struggled breaking into the talented defensive backfield at Virginia Tech.
Analysis: Hill is an underrated talent and is overlooked due to his marginal production in college. He possesses the talent to play at the next level and could develop into a solid dime back/special teams player for an NFL squad.
