William Vlachos

School: Alabama
Position: C
Bio: Three-year starter awarded All-American honors as a senior after being named All-conference the prior year.
Positive: Hard-working college center with marginal upside for the next level. Works to stays square, keeps opponents in front of him and effectively uses his hands. Plays with consistent knee bend, keeps his head on a swivel and works well with linemates. Steers defenders from their angle of attack or turns them off the line. Explosive at the point. Effectively quarterbacks the offensive line.
Negative: Gets minimal movement run blocking. Overwhelmed at the point of attack by opponents. Marginally athletic.
Analysis: Vlachos was a terrific college center who effectively directed one of the nation E(TM)s best offensive lines. He does the little things well, which could help him catch on as a backup for an NFL team.
