Mike Caputo

School: Nebraska
Position: C
Bio: Two-year starter awarded all-conference honors as a senior. Originally made the Nebraska squad as a walk-on.
Positive: Undersized yet hardworking blocker who gets the most from his ability. Bends his knees, sets with a wide base and blocks with leverage. Quick in all aspects of the game. Solid with the shotgun snaps. Keeps his feet moving, can slide in pass protection and is explosive at the point of attack. Stays square and seals defenders from the action. Terrific job quarterbacking the offensive line.
Negative: Small and overrun by defenders. Not a lineman who gets much movement in the middle of the line and needs help in one-on-one blocking situations.
Analysis: Caputo has done a terrific job the past two seasons yet lacks the measurables to be anything other than a backup in the NFL.
