Bio: Played in four games as a senior, posting 9/113 before being sidelined with a shoulder injury. Started 11 games in 2009 and put up 15/150/2. Initially injured his shoulder as a sophomore, when he played in just seven games.
Positive: Fluid pass-catching tight end likely to be medically red flagged. Quick releasing off the line, extends his hands, and makes difficult catches. Adjusts well to the errant pass and works make himself an available target. Bends his knees and gives effort blocking.
Negative: Has marginal speed for a tight end and is not a downfield threat. Struggles finishing blocks.
Analysis: Torchia looked like a solid prospect after his junior season, but he was set back by the shoulder injury that shelved him most of last year. If he's able to pass medical tests and stay healthy, he could find a spot as a team E(TM)s third tight end.
