Positive: Adequately sized tight end who does the little things well. Quick releasing off the line of scrimmage, consistently finds the open spot in the defense, and extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame. Lays out for difficult catches, boxes out opponents with his frame, and adjusts to make the errant reception. Displays soft and strong hands. Blocks with leverage, remains disciplined, and shows awareness. Works hard to stays square.
Negative: Does not always play to his timed speed. Lacks dominant strength.
Analysis: Cochart has been reliable the past three seasons but minimally productive. He could easily make an NFL roster as a backup move tight end, and his blocking should improve as he physically matures.
