Josh Davis

School: Georgia
Position: T
Bio: Started 11 games as a senior. Played the first six games of his junior season before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery.
Positive: Large small-area blocker with some upside. Sets quickly in pass protection, gets his hands into defenders, and keep opponents away. Strong at the point of attack and can turn defenders off the ball or engulf them. Moves relatively well on his feet. Plays with good quickness. Flashes footwork sliding out off the edge.
Negative: Bends at the waist, does too much leaning on defenders, and blocks with poor balance. Does not show great lateral blocking range. Tends to get tall out of his stance.
Analysis: Davis is a size prospect who's shown flashes of ability the past two seasons. Still raw in many of his techniques thanks in part to missing half the '09 season with injury, he's a solid developmental prospect who should be kept on a practice squad based on his potential.
