Bio: Full-time starter the past two-years at both safety and cornerback. Senior totals included 72/1/9 after 42/1/6 as a junior.
Positive: Active and physical safety who is best playing downhill. Sized well, stays with assignments, and shows a burst to the action out of his plant. Plays with an aggressive style, intimidates ball carriers who come over the middle, and is a hard-hitter. Very quick up the field defending the run and wraps up when tackling. Makes a lot of plays with his hustle and works hard.
Negative: Does not have good hands. Doesn't consistently take proper angles to the action and over pursues plays. Lacks top lateral speed and is slow getting to the flanks.
Analysis: Atchison is an adequate athlete who could make an NFL roster as a ninth defensive back/special teams player.
