Nate Williams

School: Washington
Position: S
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after totaling 105 tackles and breaking up four passes. Junior numbers included 62 tackles. Never intercepted a pass in his college career.
Positive: Nice-sized, strong safety prospect who is best making plays in the box or up the field. Explosive in run defense, shows a closing burst of speed and attacks ball handlers. Fluid changing direction, shows a good head for the ball and works hard to get involved in the action. Wraps up tackling.
Negative: Marginal ball skills and late arriving on the scene. Does not possess the downfield speed to say stay with receivers. Often makes his first move up the field.
Analysis: Williams is a physical defensive back with an aggressive streak but shows limitations in pass coverage. He's a conventional strong safety prospect who may also get consideration from zone teams.
