Positive: Solid run-defending safety who is best playing downhill. Fast up the field, aggressively attacks ball carriers, and throws his shoulder pads into the action. Displays skill in zone coverage and is effective picking up assignments facing the action.
Negative: Gathers into tackles and does more hitting than wrap-up tackling. Bites on play-action passes and is a bit of a late reactor. Does not have great hands.
Analysis: Morgan comes off a career season in which he showed terrific improvement on the field. However, he is an undersized run-defending safety who is best in a straight line. He must make his mark on special teams to stick on a roster.
