Chris Fox

School: Boston College
Position: S
Bio: Former receiver and return specialist who started six games at boundary corner as a senior. Totals last year included 33/1/6.
Positive: Undersized safety prospect who started to put the pieces together last season. Breaks down well, displays good recognition and quickly picks up coverage assignments. Uses his hands to get off blocks, gets up the field quickly, and voluntarily defends the run. Displays good awareness facing the action, has a nice sense of timing and solid instincts. Hustles around the field trying to make positive plays and works well with teammates.
Negative: Possesses a marginal burst of speed. Does not have reliable hands. Better facing the action and struggles with his back to the ball.
Analysis: After bouncing around from different positions early in his Boston College career, Fox solidified himself in the defensive backfield as a senior. He lacks great physical skills yet showed a terrific head for the game and is an adequate athlete who can be used in a zone system and on special teams.
