Robert Hughes

School: Notre Dame
Position: RB
Bio: Part-time starter throughout his Notre Dame career. Had 68/300/2 rushing as a senior. Junior totals included 88/416/5 rushing and 19/193 receiving as a junior.
Positive: Well-built lead blocker who has proven to be an effective offensive threat. Displays good vision, finds cutback lanes, and plays with an aggressive attitude. Shows a lot of strength as a short-yardage runner and blocker. Keeps his feet driving up the field and works runs. Comes back into the clearing to make himself an available target for the quarterback. Stays squares as a blocker and turns defenders off the ball.
Negative: Primarily used as an offensive threat rather than lead blocker for Notre Dame. Marginally productive and never a true starter.
Analysis: Hughes is a fullback prospect with an all-around game and is a player who can help teams in a variety of ways. He lacks great upside yet does the little things well and could easily make a two deep at the next level.
