Isaac Odim

School: Minnesota-Duluth
Position: RB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference and All-American honors after his sophomore and junior seasons. Played in six games as a senior, posting 106/796/17 on the ground before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Junior rushing totals included 259/1808/29 with an average of 7 yards per carry. Also added 17/221/2 as a receiver. Sophomore totals included 224/1638/26 on the ground with an average of 7.3 yards per carry.
Positive: Ultra-productive small school ball carrier best in a straight-line. Displays good vision and strength and has the ability to break the first tackle. Tough to bring down, bounces off defenders, and does a terrific job following blocks. Uses an effective straight arm, runs hard, and always finds the open lanes. Shows skill as a receiver out of the backfield, extending his hands to make the reception away from his frame.
Negative: Runs with an upright style that leads to a lot of heavy hits. Not an elusive ball carrier who makes defenders miss. Cannot avoid piles. Lacks the speed to run to daylight.
Analysis: Odim was a workhorse back at the Division-II level, but he is coming off a knee injury and lacks the measurables to be anything other than a fifth back at the next level.
