Bio: Part-time starter the past two seasons after being the team's primary ball carrier in 2008. Totaled just 53/2053/1 last season. Junior totals included 24/102 after he put up career-best numbers of 107/617/8 as a sophomore. Also used to return kicks for the Trojans.
Positive: One-time highly rated prospect whose game never developed. Instinctive ball carrier who does a terrific job following blocks everywhere on the field. Finds the hole, has a burst, and shows the ability to create yardage.
Negative: Lacks the speed to turn the corner. Marginally productive except for one season.
Analysis: Gable was projected as the next top running back prospect from the USC program after the 2008 season but was relegated to being a part-time player the past two seasons. He possesses the underlying skills to be a situational ball carrier/return specialist if he's able to get his game back on track.
