Bio: Finished his senior season with 70/337/2 on the ground as a rotational back. Also added 23/195/5 catching the ball. All-Conference selection as a junior when he was Ohio State's top running back, posting 145/739/4 on the ground and 17/224/2 as a receiver.
Positive: Nice-sized ball carrier who has never lived up to expectations on the college level. Displays strength carrying the ball, breaks tackles, and picks up yardage off initial contact. Falls forward when tackled. Displays a quick burst, darts around the inside, and will pick his spots. Legitimate pass catching threat out of the backfield who displays consistent hands. Gets down the field and comes away with tough catches in crowds.
Negative: Lacks patience and must do a better job waiting for blocks develop. Lacks overall ball carrying instincts. Loses momentum when he must immediately change direction.
Analysis: Physically Saine possesses all the tools to be a feature back at the next level and is a multipurpose ball carrier who can produce as a receiver out of the backfield. He's never put together a complete game on the college level, but he is a developmental prospect who can produce in the NFL if the light goes on.
