Negative: More of a one-speed back and lacks a true burst. Not a strong ball carrier who can pick up yardage off initial contact or breaks tackles.

Negative: Lacks breakaway speed and cannot beat defenders into the open field. Undersized and brought down by the first defender. Does too much dancing rather than taking it up the field.

Relatively quick-footed, falls forward when tackled, and picks up positive yardage. Has a burst through the hole, breaks tackles, and displays better than average strength.
Negative: Loses focus and concentration. More of a straight line runner who cannot create yardage. Marginal production as a receiver.

Negative: Straight line runner who loses momentum when he must change direction. Possesses minimal quickness and burst . Tries too hard to make defenders miss at times.
Analysis: Bradford is a relatively athletic prospect who shows a terrific amount of strength carrying the ball. He's a bit one-dimensional but could be a solid rotational player in a power running offense.

Displays a burst through the hole and keeps the play in bounds. Solid receiver who extends his hands and looks the pass in. Picks up stunts or twists and squares into blocks, giving effort to keep defenders away.
Negative: Not a power runner who picks up the difficult yardage. More of a one-speed ball carrier who can E(TM)t beat defenders into the open field.
Analysis: Carter had a productive career at Syracuse and projects as a rotational back/situational runner at the next level. He has the ability to play on third downs in the NFL and would help his cause with good play on special teams.

Totaled 11 career receptions.
Positive: Massive, straight-line runner who is a battering ram between the tackles. Patiently waits for blocks to develop, does a good job following them, and is tough to bring down. Will carry the pile or pick up a lot yardage off initial contact. Falls forward when tackled. Consistently runs north/south, keeps his feet driving up the field, and runs over opponents. Finds the cutback lanes, always looks for an opening in the defense, and displays solid vision. Gives effort blocking.
Negative: Marginal burst of speed. Limited athlete. Cannot make defenders miss or avoid piles. Loses momentum when he must quickly change direction. Played at almost 275 pounds last season. Runs with an upright style and takes a lot of heavy hits.

Graig Cooper

School: Miami-Fl

Posted a career-best 841 yards on the ground as a sophomore and added 29 receptions. Was the Hurricanes E(TM) leading rusher after his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.
Positive: One-time highly rated ball carrier who struggled to get back to prior form after his knee injury. Elusive, constantly creates yardage, and displays the ability to make several defenders miss over the course of a single run. Will pick and choose his spots on the inside, darts through the small openings of the defense, and shows a terrific burst of speed. Possesses the speed and agility to turn the corner. Keeps his feet moving up the field. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Displayed minimal elusiveness as a senior. Not a strong runner who breaks tackles or picks up yardage off initial contact.
Analysis: Cooper rated as one of the best running back prospects in the nation until his injury. At the top of his game he justifiably reminds many of former Miami star Frank Gore with his ability to create yardage and elude defenders. Cooper looked like a shell of himself last year when he was just eight months removed from major knee surgery. He may take a while to return to form, if he ever does, but Cooper E(TM)s capable of producing at the next level if he gets his game back.

Trevar Deed

School: Delta State
Position: RB

Positive: : Productive, versatile skill player who lacks great upside. Displays terrific quickness, possesses the agility to turn the corner. Change direction without losing speed. Elusive, creates yardage, and can make several defenders miss over the course of a single run. Runs with good lean and gets lost behind blockers. Terrific receiver out of the backfield and easily adjusts to the errant throw.
Negative: Easily brought down by the first defender and doesn E(TM)t pick up yards after contact. Does not have the speed to run to daylight. Must pick up the blocking intensity.
Analysis: Deed is coming off a pair of incredibly productive seasons and is a versatile prospect who can contribute as a runner, receiver, and return man. His lack of speed will knock him out of the draft, but he has the tools necessary to make an NFL roster as a third-down back/return specialist.

Noel Devine

School: West Virginia
Position: RB

Positive: Elusive ball carrier with the ability to create yardage and constantly make something out of nothing. Shifty, immediately changes direction and loses no momentum. Runs low to the ground and displays amazingly quick feet and the ability to slide off tackles. Makes defenders miss at the line scrimmage or in the open field, easily bounces around piles, and effortlessly gets through the cutback lanes. Patiently waits for blocks to develop and effectively sets them up all over the field. Can turn it on in a single step then run away from defenders.
Negative: Lacks size and strength in his running and can be stopped dead in his tracks by a single opponent. Coming off a very disappointing senior season.
Analysis: Devine has been productive and durable on the college level, though he did not live up to expectations last season. Projects as a third-down back at the next level or rotational runner who can line up in the backfield, in the slot, and as a return specialist.

Shaun Draughn

School: North Carolina
Position: RB
Bio: Part-time starter the past three years. Senior totals included 129/637/6 on the ground with 13 receptions. Junior numbers included 124/567/1 before fracturing his left shoulder blade late in the season. Led the Tar Heels with 866 yards rushing as a sophomore.
Positive: Explosive ball carrier who has been consistently productive on the college level. Displays the agility and speed to turn the corner, slips off defenders on the inside, and quickly cuts back against the grain. Has a burst, beats defenders into the open field and falls forward when tackled. Picks his way on the inside and finds the open seams.
Negative: Not a truly creative or elusive ball carrier. Does not stand out in any single aspect.
Analysis: Draughn was a very good college back who does not project well to the next level. He has enough skill to be a rotational player on a roster that keeps four running backs.

Height: 6-0
Weight: 227
40: 4.56
Year: 4Jr

Darren Evans

School: Virginia Tech
Position: RB
Bio: Started nine games last season and finished the year with 151/845/11 while adding 9 receptions. Forced to the sidelines in 2009 with a knee injury. Sophomore totals of 2008 included 287/1265/11 on the ground with 17 receptions.
Positive: Strong, straight-line runner who is best between the tackles. Finds the running lanes, displays a burst, and follows blocks everywhere on the field. Shows strength carrying the ball, falls forward when tackled, and picks up extra yardage. Keeps his feet moving on contact and works runs. Has an aggressive style and throws his shoulders into defenders. Solid receiver who adjusts and extends to catch the errant throw.
Negative: Loses momentum when he must quickly change direction. Lacks the speed to turn the corner or beat defenders into the open field. Showed marginal quickness last year, possibly as a result of the knee injury the prior year.
Analysis: Evans surprised many by entering this year's draft after what was a solid yet unspectacular campaign in 2010. He has the size to play at the next level, but his lack of true speed and quickness will relegate him to being the third man on the depth chart.

Height: 5-10.5
Weight: 231

Year: 5Sr

Mario Fannin

School: Auburn
Position: RB
Bio: Part-time starter the past two years at Auburn. Senior rushing totals included 61/395/5 with 17/173/2 receiving. Posted just 285 yards rushing as a junior with 42/413/3 receiving.
Positive: Impressive looking running back prospect who only occasionally plays to his ceiling. Effectively follows blocks on the field, shows strength carrying the ball, and rarely brought down by a single defender. Throws his shoulders into opponents and falls forward when tackled. Possesses solid vision, better than average quickness, and the ability to bounce around piles. Does not go down without a fight. Terrific receiver out of the backfield and has proven to be a downfield threat.
Negative: Must improve his ball security. Really does not show a burst in his game. Has had an up-and-down career that never took off.
Analysis: Fannin has the size and speed and has flashed the skills necessary to be a top running back prospect, but he never put it all together. His pass catching ability makes him invaluable and Fannin could see significant playing time if he increases his productivity carrying the ball.

Jay Finley

School: Baylor
Position: RB
Bio: Posted career-high rushing numbers of 195/1218/12 and caught 9 passes as a senior after starting 12 games. Started three games and rushed for 370 yards and one score as a junior. Sophomore totals included 149/865/7.
Positive: Patient ball carrier who displays small-area quickness. Waits for blocks develop, follows them everywhere on the field, and shows a burst through the hole. Displays elusiveness in a small area with the ability to quickly change direction and lose no momentum. Makes defenders miss, creates yardage, and shows the ability to turn the corner. Solid pass catcher who adjusts to errant throws and makes catches in stride.
Negative: One-speed athlete who cannot run to daylight. Not a strong ball carrier who picks up yardage off initial contact. Easily knocked off balance by the initial hit.
Analysis: Finley is coming off a terrific senior campaign, but he lacks ideal size/speed numbers to be anything other than a third or fourth back on an NFL roster. It would help his cause this summer if he shows immediate production catching the ball out of the backfield.

Height: 5-11
Weight: 200

C.J. Gable

School: USC
Position: RB
Bio: Part-time starter the past two seasons after being the team's primary ball carrier in 2008. Totaled just 53/2053/1 last season. Junior totals included 24/102 after he put up career-best numbers of 107/617/8 as a sophomore. Also used to return kicks for the Trojans.
Positive: One-time highly rated prospect whose game never developed. Instinctive ball carrier who does a terrific job following blocks everywhere on the field. Finds the hole, has a burst, and shows the ability to create yardage.
Negative: Lacks the speed to turn the corner. Marginally productive except for one season.
Analysis: Gable was projected as the next top running back prospect from the USC program after the 2008 season but was relegated to being a part-time player the past two seasons. He possesses the underlying skills to be a situational ball carrier/return specialist if he's able to get his game back on track.

Relatively quick footed, eludes defenders or avoids piles. Patient, waits for blocks to develop, and will choose his spots on the inside. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Not a physical runner and tends to finish plays out of bounds. Does not display much strength carrying the ball. Must pick up the blocking intensity.
Analysis: Green is a physically gifted ball carrier with the athletic skills and running abilities to make it at the next level. He offers potential as a second back in the NFL if he rounds out his game and carries theball with more physicality.

Will pick and choose his way on the inside and displays outstanding vision as well as running instincts. Runs with good lean, shows a lot of quickness, and has the ability to cut back against the grain without losing momentum. Has a burst through the hole.
Negative: Easily brought down by the first defender and shows minimal strength in his running. Does not play to his timed speed or show the ability turn the corner. Not much of a threat as a receiver.

Positive: Explosive back who plays with suddenness. Displays solid vision, runs north-south, and keeps his feet moving up the field. Possesses the speed and agility to turn the corner, shows a burst through the hole, and has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. Quick-footed, creates yardage, and keeps the play inbounds. Solid receiver who extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame. Recognizes blitzes thrown by the opposition and picks up blocking assignments.
Negative: Not a strong back who picks up yardage off initial contact and easily brought down by a single defender. Never capitalized on a terrific sophomore season.
Analysis: Grigsby has flashed skill the past two years after being one of the nation E(TM)s better ball carriers in 2008. He possesses the football ability to make an NFL roster as a third-down back/rotational ball carrier.

Positive: Straight line, interior ball carrier with good vision. Displays strength, breaks tackles and works runs hard. Will pick and choose his way on the inside, can cut back in a small area, and is a solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Runs with an upright style. More of a one-speed/one-cut ball carrier. Does not carry the pile. Loses momentum when he must immediately change direction.
Analysis: Harper is coming off a solid junior season but he lacks the physical skills to be anything other than a fourth running back on an NFL roster.

Can get to the outside and turn the corner. Displays good quickness. Solid receiver and effectively makes the reception in stride.
Negative: Not a back who creates yardage. Never built upon what was a terrific sophomore season.

Waits for blocks develop, shows patience as a runner, and finds running lanes everywhere on the field. Displays strength carrying the ball and the ability to pick up yardage off initial contact, falling forward when tackled for the extra yardage.
Negative: Not a truly elusive or creative ball carrier. Does not show soft hands out of the backfield catching the ball. Must be more aware of ball security as he puts the ball on the ground at inopportune times.
Analysis: Helu Jr. has been very productive the past two seasons and did incredibly well in the run-up to the draft. After outstanding showings at the Senior Bowl and combine, he has moved into the top 75 selections and is one of the few backs in this draft that could develop into a feature runner.

Comes back into the clearing to make himself an available target for the quarterback. Stays squares as a blocker and turns defenders off the ball.
Negative: Primarily used as an offensive threat rather than lead blocker for Notre Dame. Marginally productive and never a true starter.
Analysis: Hughes is a fullback prospect with an all-around game and is a player who can help teams in a variety of ways. He lacks great upside yet does the little things well and could easily make a two deep at the next level.

Aggressive ball carrier who shows power on the inside, puts his shoulders into defenders then drives through tackles. Forceful, rarely brought down by a single opponent, and will carry the pile. Gives effort when called upon to block and gets results. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Not an elusive runner and loses momentum when he must quickly change direction. Does not possess the speed to run to daylight.
Analysis: Ingram had an outstanding career for Alabama and possesses all the necessary skills to be a feature back in the NFL. He's a tough ball carrier who can grind it out on the inside yet also shows enough agility to get around tackle. Ingram will produce catching the ball out of the backfield and is reliable when asked to block. He has all the makings of a prospect who should produce as a rookie in the NFL.

Positive: Ultra-productive small school back with adequate skills for the next level. Shifty ball carrier who displays a lot of quickness in his running and has the ability to make several defenders miss over the course of a single carry. Shows a burst, is very elusive, and uses a stiff arm to get around opponents. Quickly cuts back into open space, losing no momentum, and turns it on in a single step. Will pick and choose his way on the inside, avoiding piles or getting around the corner.
Negative: Does not display great balance in his running. Rather easily brought down by the first defender and rarely picks up any yardage off initial contact. Struggled with injuries as a junior.

Positive: Nice-sized interior ball carrier who shows the ability to pick up a lot of yardage off initial contact. Patiently waits for blocks to develop, displays a burst of speed and the ability to make defenders miss in a small area. Easily runs around tackle, keeps his feet moving on contact, and falls forward when tackled. Uses an effective straight arm to keep runs alive, displays solid football instincts, and slides through the small creases of the defense. Rarely brought down by a single defender. Is a solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Loses a lot of momentum when he must quickly change direction. Not a creative ball carrier. Does not consistently run with an aggressive style. Effective when he gives effort blocking yet not consistent in that area. Cannot run to daylight in the open field. Has an upright running style that leads to a lot of heavy hits.
Analysis: Leshoure is a tough interior ball carrier who proved himself as a workhorse at the college level. He'll fit a variety of offenses at the next level, and his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield is an added benefit.

Positive: Small but incredibly elusive ball carrier who consistently creates his own yardage. Quick-footed, easily makes defenders miss, and bounces around the pile. Shows a terrific burst of speed, squirms through the small openings of the defense, and keeps his feet driving up the field. Effectively sets up defenders, uses his blocks, and darts on the inside to pick up yardage. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield who finds the open seam in underneath coverage and extends his hands to catch the ball away from his frame.
Negative: Small and easily brought down by a single defender. Gets minimal results as a blocker. Stopped dead in his tracks and shows no ability to pick up yardage off initial contact.
Analysis: Lewis is a very small ball carrier with limitations for the next level. He'll fit in as a third-down back who is most effective in space, and will be given an opportunity as a return specialist.

Also averaged 27.8 yards on 23 kick returns with one touchdown.
Positive: Hard-charging, elusive ball carrier with the ability to create yardage whenever he handles the football. Plays tough football, quickly turns up the field, and loses no momentum when he must change direction. Able to make several defenders miss over the course of a single run, quickly cuts back against the grain, and will avoid piles. Runs with good lean, displays the speed to get around tackle, and carries the ball with an aggressive style. Keeps plays inbounds, throws his shoulders into defenders, and works to pick up positive yardage. Solid receiver out of the backfield who easily adjusts to the errant throw and makes the reception away from his frame. Picks up blocking assignments and gives effort to stop the blitz.
Negative: Not a strong or sturdy ball handler. Must be more aware of ball security. Hard running style could lead to injuries at the next level.
Analysis: Locke was an effective and versatile skill player. He possesses the athleticism and speed to be successful in the NFL. He projects as a third-down back/situational ball carrier who can also be used as a receiver out of the backfield and as a return specialist. Locke plays a tough brand of football and should produce on the next level if he can stay healthy.

Positive: Elusive ball handler who never developed a complete game. Quick, bounces around defenders, and shows a burst of speed. Finds the running lanes, can turn it on in a single step, and displays terrific footwork. Keeps his feet moving on contact.
Negative: Loses focus and looks soft at times. Not a strong ball carrier who breaks tackles. Drops some catchable passes.

Is a solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Possesses a marginal burst of speed. Struggles to beat defenders around the corner and into the open field.
Analysis: Minett is a smart, tough productive player on the college level but lacks the physical skills to have an impact in the NFL. He possesses a special teams mentality and could make it as a fourth ball carrier on a roster.

Positive: Well-built, athletic skill player with an undeveloped game. Possesses decent quickness, has solid receiving skills, and looks the ball into his hands. Flashes the ability to make defenders miss. Helps out on coverage units getting downfield to make the tackle.
Negative: Seemed to lose a step as a senior coming off his knee injury of the prior year. Was never anything other than a part-time reserve at LSU.

Negative: Does not play with an aggressive style. Runs a bit upright and takes a lot of heavy hits. Struggled with injuries throughout his college career.
Analysis: Murray has displayed skill the past three seasons and at times makes scouts think he offers potential as a feature runner in the NFL. Negative: Easily knocked off balance by the initial hit or brought down by a single defender. Gives effort blocking yet gets minimal results.

Analysis: Todman has proven to be an outstanding college runner the past two seasons and almost always picks up positive yardage. He lacks the size to be a featured runner at the next level but should be effective as a third-down back or situational ball carrier.

Shane Vereen

School: California
Position: RB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors last season as a junior, putting up 231/1167/13 rushing and 22/209/3 receiving. Sophomore totals included rushing numbers of 183/152/12 and 25/244/2 receiving.
Positive: Multipurpose skill player with the athleticism and football ability to play at the next level. Patient ball carrier who does a solid job following blocks and runs hard on the inside. Displays good vision, instincts and is deceptively strong. Drives his shoulders into defenders, keeps his feet moving up the field, and runs low to the ground. Tough to knock off his feet, will pick and choose his spots on the inside, and uses his blocks well. Resilient, keeps plays alive, and shows the ability to beat defenders into the open field.
Negative: Not an elusive or truly creative ball carrier. Does not show great corner speed. Body catches as a receiver out of the backfield rather than making the reception away from his frame too often.
Analysis: Vereen has been a solid ball carrier the past two seasons while also flashing skills as a receiver out of the backfield. He has the ability to be a backup on a roster but can also see spot duty as a starter if necessary.

Derrick Washington

School: x-Missouri
Position: RB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a sophomore. Rushing totals from 2009 included 190/865/10 with 26/156 receiving. Totals the prior year included 1078 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns. Led Missouri on the ground during both campaigns. Permanently dismissed from the Missouri program in September 2010 after being involved in an alleged sexual assault case.
Positive: One-time highly rated running back prospect who's fallen off the radar screen due to off-the-field issues. Runs with good quickness and resilient. Displays the ability to adjust off the initial hit, regain his balance, and pick up yardage off initial contact. Keeps his feet moving up the field and works to pick up as much yardage as possible. Effectively follows blocks, finds the running lanes, and has a burst. Solid receiver who makes catches away from his frame.
Negative: Lacks the speed to turn the corner and possesses just a short-area burst. Numerous off-the-field issues will raise red flags.
Analysis: Prior to his dismissal last September, Washington was considered a potential late round choice and a potential short-yardage runner/receiver out of the backfield. He's now undraftable and must quickly make a positive impression in camp this summer to find a spot on a roster.

Johnny White

School: North Carolina
Position: RB
Bio: Former special teams player who moved into the starting lineup as a senior when he led Carolina on the ground with 130/720/7. Also added 24/288 as a receiver. Broke his clavicle late in the year and missed four games.
Positive: Athletic prospect coming off a terrific senior campaign. Displays a burst through the hole, keeps his feet moving up the field, and works runs hard. Shows strength in his lower body and falls forward for yardage. Runs with an aggressive style, putting his shoulders into opponents and staying on his feet.
Negative: Not a quick cutback runner. Very raw in his techniques. Undersized and coming off an injury.
Analysis: White displayed tremendous skill last season carrying the ball as well as catching it. He offers decent upside and could find a place on an NFL roster as a third-down back/return specialist.

Eddie Wide

School: Utah
Position: RB
Bio: Part-time starter the past three seasons awarded all-Conference honors as a junior. Rushing totals last season included 149/717/11 with 34/271/2 receiving. Posted career rushing numbers of 203/1069/12 as a sophomore.
Positive: Quick elusive ball carrier that catches the ball well out of the backfield. Displays good vision, quickly finds the hole, and gets through the small creases of the defense. Patient, waits for blocks to develop, and does a good job using them all over the field. Consistently runs North-South. Shows the ability turn the corner. Extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame.
Negative: Not a strong ball carrier who breaks tackles or picks up much yardage off initial contact. Lacks the ability to beat defenders into the open field and run to daylight.
Analysis: Wide was a solid ball carrier for Utah but has no distinguishing single skill to his game. Projects to the next level as a third-down/rotational back.

Height: 5-11.5

Jonathan Williams

School: East Carolina
Position: RB
Bio: Led East Carolina in rushing as a senior, posting 154/847/10 with 52/431/1 receiving. Played in six games as a junior before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Finished the year with 14/38 on the ground. Played in seven games as a sophomore then was suspended for the remainder of the season. Totals of that year included 75/380/5 on the ground.
Positive: Well-sized skill player who is effective carrying the ball or catching it out of the backfield. Picks and chooses his way on the inside, has some elusiveness, and flashes the ability to break tackles. Solid receiver out of the backfield and effectively adjusts to the errant throw. Looks the ball into his hands.
Negative: Possesses just an average burst and cannot run to daylight. Not a fluid cutback runner.
Analysis: Williams put together a terrific senior campaign after injury- and suspension-shortened seasons prior to '10. He looks like a potential third-down back/situational runner at the next level and has the skills to play in the NFL if he remains focused.

Ryan Williams

School: Virginia Tech
Position: RB
Bio: Former all-Conference performer relegated to just five starts last season because of hamstring issues. Sophomore totals included 110/447/9 on the ground with 10/109/1 as a receiver. Posted 293/1655/21 on the ground and 16/180/1 receiving as a redshirt freshman.
Positive: Explosive ball carrier with the ability to create his own yardage. Runs with good lean, displays terrific agility and the ability turn the corner. Shows vision and instincts and has a burst through the hole. Finds cutback lanes, bounces around defenders, and effectively sets up blocks everywhere on the field. Sidesteps opponents to keep runs alive and shows a degree of patience in his running. Runs with good lean and squeezes through small openings of the defense. Terrific receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Lacks pure breakaway speed. Has struggled with ball security at times during his career. Not a strong back that breaks tackles or picks up yardage off initial contact.
Analysis: After a sensational freshman campaign, Williams struggled through the 2010 season with injury issues. He possesses a lot of skill for the next level, but does not project as a feature runner in the NFL. If he's able to stay healthy and get his game back on track, Williams is best as a rotational runner who can see spot duty with the first team.
