Trevor Vittatoe

School: UTEP
Position: QB
Bio: Four-year starter who threw for 54.1%/2756/22/13 as a senior and 54.8%/3308/17/13 as a junior. Sophomore totals included 3274 yards passing.
Positive: Athletic college quarterback with a solid arm. Possesses a quick release, gets the ball through the tight spots, and puts touch on throws when necessary. Patient in the pocket, buys time for receivers, and locates the open wide out on the field. Elusive with the ability to escape the rush and pick up yardage with his legs.
Negative: Stares down the primary target. Must improve his overall mechanics. Does not throw with proper footwork, which adversely affects his accuracy. Very slow going to secondary wide outs.
Analysis: Vittatoe had a terrific college career yet is more of an athlete than he is NFL quarterback prospect. He could be kept on a roster and used in wildcat formations if he proves his worth on special teams.
