Scott Riddle

School: Elon
Position: QB
Bio: Four-year starter awarded all-Conference honors since his freshman season, as well as receiving All-America honors as a senior. Finished last season with numbers of 67.7%/3231/28/5 after putting up 64.9%/3345/23/7 as a junior. Career-high totals of 68.1%/3817/31/13 came during his freshman season.
Positive: High-percentage passer who does a terrific job managing games. Possesses great field vision, is poised in the pocket, and buys time for receivers. Scans the field, checks down if nothing is available, and makes good decisions. Displays great timing on his throws.
Negative: Lacks pocket stature and cannot withstand the rush. Does not possess the physical skills to zip the ball or drive deep passes. Not a quarterback who makes plays with his legs.
Analysis: Riddle has been very productive on the I-AA level yet lacks the natural physical skills to be an NFL quarterback. He could be a good addition as a third passer in a timing offense and would be useful as another set of eyes on the sidelines.
