Robert Eddins

School: Ball State
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors after his senior and junior seasons. Posted 63/13/6 as a senior and 55/13.5/7 as a junior.
Positive: Athletic but undersized college defensive end who will receive consideration at outside linebacker in the NFL. Breaks down well, plays with good awareness, and displays solid movement skills. Plays with balance, stays within his pass rush angle, and gets leverage on opponents. Displays an array of moves getting off blocks. Gives effort and chases the action hard. Fluid getting to the sidelines, smooth pedaling in reverse, and shows ability in space.
Negative: Possesses marginal burst and speed. Not fast enough to pursue the action from the back side. Handled at the point of attack if he does not get the first step on defenders.
Analysis: Eddins was productive in college consistently making plays behind the line of scrimmage. He's best suited to be a situational pass rusher at the next level that can stand up over tackle or occasionally line up in a three-point stance.
