Bio: Three-year starter who posted 105/8/1 as a senior and 103 tackles with 5.5 tackles for loss as a junior in 2008. Suspended for the 2009 season after violating team rules.
Positive: Undersized but athletic linebacker who makes plays sideline to sideline. Fluid moving in all directions of the field, shows ability in pursuit, and gets depth on pass drops. Smooth flipping his hips off the line, can run with tight ends and receivers down the field, and shows skill in space. Aggressive, works hard to get involved in the action, and remains disciplined with assignments. Possesses a nice burst to the ball.
Negative: Easily disrupted from the action by a single block. Lacks the size to be an every-down linebacker. Has off the field issues.
Analysis: Brewer was productive on the college level and has displayed NFL-type skills throughout his career. His size is a limiting factor but he could make a roster as a one-gap linebacker if he produces on special teams.
