Positive: Athletic linebacker who displays ability making plays up the field or chasing the action in pursuit. Breaks down well, strong at the point, and sheds blocks. Stacks well against the run, nicely redirects to ball carriers, and plays with suddenness and explosion. Hard hitter and aggressive in all aspects. Uses his hands to protect himself, remains disciplined with assignments, and can chase down the action from the back side.
Negative: Must improve his skills against the pass. Fast but lacks great one-gap linebacker speed.
Analysis: Burning has made a lot of strides in his game the past two seasons and has an upside. He's a potential week side linebacker at the next level, and the German-born defender should only improve in time.
