Joseph Dickson

School: Idaho
Position: OLB
Bio: Two-year starter who totaled 34 tackles in seven games last season before being sidelined with a broken leg. Junior numbers included 79 tackles to earn all-Conference honors.
Positive: Quick, athletic linebacker prospect who displayed a lot of skill before his injury. Breaks down well, stays on his feet, and plays with a nasty attitude. Attacks assignments, remains disciplined, and shows skill sideline to sideline. Fluid and fast getting out to the flanks, gets depth on pass drops, and is effective in zone coverage. Has good hands for the interception.
Negative: Undersized and is easily blocked at the point. Not a strong wrap-up tackler. Just marginal force up the field on the blitz.
Analysis: Dixon is a pursuit linebacker with the ability to chase the action from every angle of the field. He offers potential as a back-up weak side linebacker if he regains his health and gets back to prior form.
