Jeremiha Hunter

School: Iowa
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after leading Iowa with 90 tackles while also recording one interception and breaking up four passes. Had 89 tackles as a junior and 80 tackles as a sophomore.
Positive: Athletic weak side linebacker prospect with a total game. Breaks down well, shows speed sideline-to-sideline, and covers a lot of area on the field. Very effective in space, gets depth on pass drops, and easily flows to the action. Fast out to the flanks, is explosive, and plays with great quickness. Uses his hands to protect himself, displays a burst to the action, and is exceptional in pursuit. Rarely off his feet, shows skill in coverage, and makes a lot of athletic plays.
Negative: Marginally instinctive and slow finding the ball at times. Not a strong wrap-up tackler. Struggles taking on blocks and gets smothered at the point.
Analysis: Hunter has been a productive college linebacker who's capable of being a three-down defender. He's one of the more underrated prospects at the position and is a solid weak-side prospect who could develop into a starter at the next level.
