Grant Fleming

School: Louisiana-Lafayette
Position: OLB
Bio: Four-year starter who was limited to nine games as a senior due to a hand injury and finished the year with 54 tackles. Junior totals included 89 tackles. Missed most of his sophomore campaign after sustaining a knee injury.
Positive: Smart, tough linebacker who stacks up well against the run. Effectively diagnoses the action, takes good angles to the play, and shows a sense of anticipation. Gives a lot of effort and throws his body around the field trying to make the stop.
Negative: Too easily caught up in the wash or removed from the action by blocks. Lacks great pursuit speed. Struggled with injuries throughout his college career.
Analysis: Fleming is a solid run defending linebacker who lacks great size and speed and has struggled with injuries. He has a special teams mentality and should be given a look in camp this summer.
