Culmer St. Jean

School: Wisconsin
Position: OLB
Bio: Two-year starter who finished with 62 tackles and 63/4/1.5 as a junior.
Positive: Undersized yet explosive linebacker who covers a lot of area on the field. Willing run defender who explodes up the field, quickly fills gaps, and wraps up tackling. Sells out on the blitz. Fluid turning his hips to drop into coverage, effectively flows to the play, and moves laterally with speed. Remains disciplined with assignments, recognizes the action, and works hard to make positive plays. Gets depth on pass drops.
Negative: Easily blocked from the action and gets caught up in the wash. Struggles covering tight ends over the middle and loses out in battles.
Analysis: St. Jean is an athletic prospect who plays bigger than his size and throws his body around the field to make something positive happen. He offers possibilities as a backup one-gap linebacker, and he should be a very good special teams player on coverage units.
