Positive: Undersized yet athletic college defensive end who projects to outside linebacker in a 34 alignment. Plays with good lean, keeps his pads low to the ground and works his hands to get off blocks. Resilient, displays a good head for the ball and stays with the action. Fast off the edge, keeps his feet driving on contact and very competitive. Technically sound and fluid moving about the field. Has a quick burst to the action which he can turn on a single step.
Negative: Lacks bulk and easily handled at the point of attack. Often reverts to running around blocks rather than meeting them head-on.
Analysis: Ozougwu has been a consistent defender at Rice and offers enough skill to get consideration as a pass rush specialist/outside linebacker that stands up over tackle in the NFL.
