Antonio Lowery

School: Rutgers
Position: OLB
Bio: Two-year starter who led the team in tackles as a senior, posting 108/8.5/2 after he had 55 tackles as a junior.
Positive: Explosive pursuit linebacker who plays much faster than his 40 time. Plays with a large degree of quickness, displays a burst and is very effective in pursuit. Makes plays in space, smooth turning his hips in coverage, and very competitive.
Negative: Has average instincts, over pursues the action, and takes himself from plays. Gets caught up the trash moving laterally and cannot get off blocks.
Analysis: Lowery has been a productive college linebacker the past two seasons yet his poor size/speed numbers will leave him out of the draft's seven rounds. He will have an opportunity to make it as a sixth or seventh linebacker if he proves his worth on special teams this summer.
