Aaron Lavarias

School: Idaho
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter who finished with 52/16.5/9.5 and one interception last season. Junior totals included 54/8/4.
Positive: Undersized college pass rusher with poor size/speed numbers. Plays with good leverage, displays quickness, and fluid if asked to twist or stunt. Immediately changes direction, smooth moving laterally and plays with good pad level. Shows speed off the edge and effectively uses his hands to protect himself.
Negative: Undersized and easily disrupted at the point of attack by tight ends. Lacks top speed in pursuit.
Analysis: Lavarias was a productive college defensive end who made a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage the past two years. He does not possess the size to consistently line up in a three-point stance, and he lacks the speed to be an every-down linebacker. He could be used as a nickel pass rusher in the NFL.
