Josh Jasper

School: LSU
Position: K
Bio: Full-time starter the past two seasons after being a kickoff specialist during his sophomore campaign. All-Conference and All-American kicker as a senior when he made 82.4% of his field goals with a long of 53 yards. Connected on three of four from outside 50 yards. Also averaged 41 yards on 21 punts with a long of 53 yards. Connected on 85% of his field goals the prior year with a long of 52 yards.
Positive: Big-legged field goal kicker with terrific accuracy. Gets immediate lift on the ball, can drive field goals, and consistently puts them through the uprights. Gets terrific hang time on kickoffs, allowing coverage teams to get down the field. Solid directional punter who places the ball inside the 10 yard line.
Negative: Possesses a solid but not great kickoff leg.
Analysis: Jasper put together two terrific years at LSU and will get consideration in the late rounds for a team wanting to come out of the 2011 draft with a potential starting field goal kicker.
