Luke Lambert

School: Missouri
Position: ILB
Bio: Limited to four games last season after suffering a knee injury. Finished the year with 17/2/1. Junior totals included 20 tackles, when he was limited to six games due to a shoulder injury. Sophomore totals included a career-best 58 tackles.
Positive: One time highly rated linebacker who's struggled to stay healthy the past two-years. Breaks down well, explosive at the point, and is a forceful hitter. Attacks ball carriers, chases the action hard, and sells out on the blitz. Displays the ability to slide off blocks and get up the field to defend the run. Effectively diagnoses the action and plays with explosiveness.
Negative: More of a straight-line defender and lacks the ability to quickly change direction. Struggles getting off blocks and sealed from the action. Stiff pedaling in reverse and shows limited skills in coverage.
Analysis: Scouts were high on Lambert after his sophomore season, but injuries disrupted his career. He's a high motor defender who goes all out on every play. He's potentially a backup linebacker who can produce on special teams if he is not red flagged due to prior health issues.
