Positive: Hard-working linebacker who makes a lot of plays sideline to sideline. Effectively reads the action, remains disciplined with assignments, and does not bite on play-action passes. Relatively instinctive, flows well to the action, and attacks ball carriers. Smooth turning his hips in coverage, fluid changing direction, and quickly collapses laterally to make plays out to the sidelines. Keeps the action in front of him and consistently positions himself to make plays on the ball.
Negative: Is undersized, not forceful on the blitz, and struggles taking on blocks. Minimally productive in coverage.
Analysis: Jones lacks classic linebacker size yet has enough speed and smarts to play in a system that allows him to freely flow to the action.
